Training Opportunities

We are continuing to develop trained volunteers to staff C.O.P.E. programs at the Rohr Challenge Center, the mobile climbing wall and the climbing opportunities for units.

Please join us for this weekend of exciting training on our new Rohr Family Challenge C.O.P.E. course, mobile climbing wall and out new Climbing/Rapelling Tower. Our primary goal is to get to know each other and train a certified corps of volunteers to staff the council C.O.P.E. and climbing activities. Completion of this training requires attendance for the entire weekend. A card certifying completion will be issued at the end of the training weekend. The card will be good for a total of 2 years.
Individuals 16 years old of age and older are eligible for C.O.P.E. instructor training. The cost of the training will be $30.00 and includes meals. We will provide sleeping area, meals and a fun filled weekend. You provide the sleeping gear and personal items, dress for outdoor weather, a current Class 3 medical form, and a positive mental attitude.

The training will take place at Camp Guyasuta in Sharpsburg, PA. It will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and conclude at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. While the participants have the option commuting each day, we highly encourage your to sleep at camp.
